iTeachU  is an on demand resource for faculty designed to facilitate the creation and management of UAF eLearning & Distance Education online courses and to assist with the technological skill development crucial to being a successful eLearning instructor.

Many of these resources are used in our face-to-face development workshops and include research-based best practices for effective course delivery with an introduction to a variety of media tools within the context of effective teaching.

In iTeachU we will be focusing on three areas: Developing Courses, Growing Skills, and Managing Learners.

In Developing Courses, you will learn about our course design process and how to get started on your course within a solid pedagogical framework.

In Growing Skills you can learn about current technologies and how you can integrate them into your online teaching strategy, as well as find step-by-step tutorials.

Managing Learners addresses facilitating student interaction, practical elements of  creating effective course communities, and techniques for engaging and motivating the eLearning student.

Teaching Tips is a collection of one page documents created by the UAF eLearning & Distance Education Design Team. This page will be populated with new Teaching Tips weekly beginning 2/14/2012.

Our goal is to get you started, help you frame your course in a pedagogically sound manner, and equip you with the knowledge and skills to continue your course development with the UAF eLearning & Distance Education.
